Welcome to the Redeemer Lutheran Church home page!  We encourage you to learn more about our congregation and its ministry in this community.  Redeemer Lutheran Church, a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, has served the Bettendorf, Iowa community and surrounding area for 40 years. Our congregation has grown to almost a thousand members, and includes people of all ages; 40% of our membership is 19 years of age or younger and the average age for a congregant is 34 years.

The strength of ministry in our congregation is particularly evident in our work with youth, worship and music, and community outreach.  We have Youth Ministries for all aged youth: Marty's Kids, Jr. High, and Sr. High.  Redeemer also features five choirs: Cherub Choir (preschool-2nd grade), Chorister Choir (3-6th grade), Chancel Choir (8th grade and older), Voices of Praise (high school and adult women), and a Bell Choir for all ages.  Finally, our congregation has been consistently involved in ministering to the surrounding community!

We invite you to worship with us this Sunday, at 8 or 10:45am, with Sunday School at 9:30am (Summer worship hours: 8 & 9:45am.)  A nursery is provided for small children.  You are welcome to view photos of our church building!

    Pentecost

Pentecost is the culmination of the resurrection. Jesus promised to send his Holy Spirit to inspire and empower the life of the church - which is the body of the Risen Christ in the world. Pentecost was the 50th day of Easter. Pentecost has been called the birthday of the church. On that day the Holy Spirit descended on believers and inspired more than 3,000 to join the community of believers in Jesus Christ.

Welcome to SonRock Kids Camp, the Vacation Bible School program offered at Redeemer on July 6 through July 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. As SunRock campers, the children will learn how their lives can be transformed by God's great love for them.

Three separate programs are being offered: Preschool (4 yrs.old in Fall), Elementary (K-4th graders), and Junior VBS (5th-8th graders). To register, just complete a registration form and place it in the VBS Registration box located in the narthex. Families are encouraged to register early so we can plan for adequate supplies and staff, and to donate $20 per child to cover the cost of expenses.

Please consider sharing your time and talents and volunteer to help. Volunteer forms are available online or on the VBS table in the narthex. We look forward to a fun-filled week of discovering how to build our lives on the rock of Jesus!
